Just checked out Burger King’s new website and advertising campaign entitled “Whopper Virgins” and so many different thoughts went through my mind. Firstly, that Crispin, Porter + Bogusky is a genius agency that I would love to work with and immense has strategic concepts. On the other hand, how can a company such as Burger King exploit other cultures and attempt to bastardize their culture by having them taste test Whoppers. Despite these reservations, this is a very interesting campaign and cultural study. Overall, it will be interesting to see the financial report from Burger King in February to see if this increased their sales and market share.
