Canada's Wonderland Announces New 2014 Attraction

This morning at 7am, Canada’s Wonderland fans were thrilled to hear that the brand new attraction set to debut in 2014 is Wonder Mountain’s Guardian, an all new interactive 4D dark ride that will be built inside Wonder Mountain!

Ever since Cedar Fair purchased the park, they have spared no expense plussing every inch of the park. From their initial coaster Behemoth to Leviathan just last year, Canada’s Wonderland fans have come to expect big things from the park.Guardian Logo

For more than 30 years, a familiar darkness has surrounded Wonder Mountain at Canada’s Wonderland. Guests and employees alike have suspected a dark mythical presence hidden within this iconic landmark. In May 2014 the park will throw speculation about these myths aside and blast into Wonder Mountain to unveil a thrilling new interactive 4-D dark ride, Wonder Mountain’s Guardian. Continue reading

Halloween Haunt 2012

Canada’s Wonderland has finally unleashed their revamped website and details for Halloween Haunt 2012. This years event brings us four new attractions: Two new haunts called Streets of the Undead and Iron Empire, and two new shows called The Underworld and Blood Drums. Favourite haunts such as Club Blood, Blood on the Bayou, Corn Stalkers and more return to give you even more nightmares. New wood coaster for California’s Great America in 2013

California’s Great America will open the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Northern California in the spring of 2013.


High-speed twists, turns, drops, a station fly-by and the Old West are the top features of Gold Striker, currently under construction. The ride will stand 108 feet at its highest point with a first drop of 103 feet at a 50-degree angle. Riders will careen along 3,197 feet of track at speeds up to 54 miles per hour. The ride experience on Gold Striker will last more than two minutes. Continue reading

Cedar Point announces 2013 coaster: Gatekeeper

One of the worst kept secrets for the 2013 amusement park season has been that Cedar Point is adding a new coaster. Today they finally let the cat out of the bag with the announcement of Gatekeeper. This B&M Flying coaster is set to take over the front gate of the park in a similar fashion to Leviathan at Canada’s Wonderland. It will be the longest winged coaster in the world and have the longest drop of any winged coaster worldwide. Check out all the facts & figures for this breathtaking addition to Cedar Point below:

Wonderland's 2012 advertising…something is not right here

Canada’s Wonderlandhas launched its new advertising campaign for the 2012 season, with the tagline “Thrills Connect”. While we like the overall campaign and it’s always great to see Wonderland ads, we noticed something that really bothers us: The rides in the ads are not in the park.

Cedar Point Opening Day Pics

Leviathan Review, Merchandise and more!

Today marked Season Passholder Preview day at Canada’s Wonderland, an annual right of passage that marks the official start of summer for theme park fanatics in Canada. Thousands of season passholders braved the chilly temperatures to brave the newest attraction for the 2012 season, Leviathan. Reaching a terror inducing 306 feet high, with over 5,400 feet of track and a top speed of 148km/h, Leviathan is B&M’s first coaster to reach over 300 feet high. It’s the third tallest traditional lift-style coaster in the world, after Steel Dragon in Japan and Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

We have been counting down the days for the Sneak Preview, and finally got to ride this monster. We weren’t disappointed. Here’s our review of the ride, along with some pictures of the new merchandise offerings and general areas of the park:
